Why many German companies shy away from penetration tests - and why that's a mistake
At a time when cyber attacks are becoming more frequent and more sophisticated, penetration tests (pentests for short) are one of the most effective methods for identifying vulnerabilities in IT systems and closing security gaps in good time. However, a surprising number of German companies, especially small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), are reluctant to carry out a pentest or pay for one.
